Tanya & Kevin's Summer Wedding

Tanya & Kevin have built a beautiful family over the years. They have twin boys, Clay and Cohen, and a younger daughter, Caroline, and this summer they tied the knot to celebrate this wonderful family they’ve built.

With a big, beautiful gown, Tanya was glowing all morning as she got ready. Kevin and his brother were making jokes while hanging out prepping for the big day, and helped the little boys get their gear on for the big moment.

Then with their closest family and friends present, they said the “I do’s” with the golf course as their backdrop. To celebrate their unity, they had a special tree there and watered it with their whole family - mini watering cans included for the little ones. We walked around the golf course and had to stop at this charming, wooden bridge to capture more photos. The drone even came out for a few shots of the couple and the water and wooded scenery was perfect.

Congratulations to Tanya, Kevin, and the whole family on a wonderful and warm summer wedding!

Katie and Brad tied the knot!

Not all couples meet when they’re 10, but this one did. Just a couple of kids when they met and started dating in high school, so needless to say they couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle after getting engaged. Seriously! They got engaged and tied the knot almost 2 years ago! They didn’t tell anyone until the wedding reception that they actually had already been married for over a year and a half but still wanted a normal wedding with all their favorite people. They wanted to share that experience with their family and friends, so on this day, they did just that. Congratulations to Katie and Brad on a beautiful wedding day.

The Luecke Family Session

Jessica and Eric are old friends of ours. Jess and I were college roommates, stood up in each others weddings, and now are doing mini family trips around the state. After we took our kids to the Milwaukee Zoo that morning we went back to their house outside of Sheboygan and got a chance to do some family photos with them with their new puppy. The girls had fun when we got back to their house playing near the lilac bush, but the real fun they had was running back to the house in their huge yard, like they do every day with mom and dad.

Ace finally makes his debut!

Ever see newborn photos with a 7 month old? Well today is your lucky day. Please join me and welcoming Ace Thomas into the world!

I get it, you’re lost. Well everyone, this awesome little man was born when his brave mommy was only 29 weeks pregnant. Ace arrived way before schedule and spent his first couple months hanging with the nurses in Marshfield. Mom and dad were there every day, spent many nights at the Ronald McDonald House, and then when they finally did get home just in time for Christmas, they were quarantined to their house. Needless to say, as flu season ended and spring finally arrived in Wisconsin, they were ready to get out and get their long and overdue, newborn pictures done. Congrats Mallory and Joel on a beautiful family!

Ashley and Sam's spring engagement session

Ashley and Sam are one of our 2020 couples and we got together last weekend for their engagement session at Iverson Park in Stevens Point. As we walked through the park and talked about their big day, I also got a chance to hear about their engagement story. The last few years, they have been traveling all over the United States, including places in the midwest, to Nashville, over to Las Vegas, down to Myrtle Beach, and then a special trip to Biloxi, Mississippi. It was there they got engaged by the ocean and got started planning their big day. We can’t wait for your country club wedding next summer.

After every storm there's a rainbow.

Kari and Matt have been blessed as they prepare for the upcoming arrival of their little bundle of joy in the next few weeks, but sadly it wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies for this soon to be family of 3. In the United States, on average, 1 in 4 known pregnancies end in miscarriage, and unfortunately my friends have lived this nightmare. When I found out Kari was looking to get maternity photos done, I couldn’t have been more happy for them and honored that she thought of me. She asked about my experience with the ideas she had, and although I hadn’t done a session like this before, I am willing to try just about anything. It was a bit breezy, but I think we pulled it off!

Ladies and gentlemen, Kari and Matt…

It's Wedding Season!

Today, in Central Wisconsin, we got about 7 inches of snow after we thought spring was here last week and what about this made me think about weddings? Nothing, but yesterday did. Yesterday, I was emailing one of our latest brides about the final details as we get closer to her big day and just got excited for wedding season to kick off soon.

As we get prepped for wedding season to kick off I wanted to share a little about us as photographers. If you want to check out more about us specifically (Craig and Jenny) see the About Us page, but if you want to know about us as photographers, this is your page. Specifically wedding photographers and how we love to capture such special moments for the couples we work with. Below are just a few examples of how we can want to capture all that you envisioned for your big day no matter how traditional, weird, special, romantic, religious, non-traditional, off-the-wall, or unique you want it to be; we want to help you remember all that you put into that big day for years to come.

You want to be a bride in tennis shoes, do it.
You want to wear a bracelet to celebrate your sibling that has passed, do it.
You want a complete family photo with your new puppy, do it.
You want to do a first look with your partner, DO IT!
You want to be walked down the aisle by your daddy as you imagined as a little girl, do it.

Don't let anyone tell you what you have to do, don't have to do, can do, or can't do for your wedding. You do you, and we'll do us to capture it all. We'll be there to tag along for every special moment to make sure you remember it in the best way.

Cheers to a happy and snowy Thursday, but we're looking forward to warm, wedding season ahead!

Amelia Ann

Amelia Ann joined the world on January 25th, 2019 and mom, dad, and big brother, Leo, couldn’t be more excited for her to complete their family. We spent the whole time snuggled up in her room, mostly watching her sleep. She did a great job just being all snuggled up and letting us move her all around to create some cute photos. Leo was excited to be there, but couldn’t resist a good joke while most of the focus was on baby sister. He pulled out the Dracula teeth and made us all laugh — clearly a product of his father.

This kind of stuff is my favorite parts of family photos. The reality of life with kids. There’s poop, tears, giggles, a cat walking by, and Dracula teeth, but the best part is when the family embraces it. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and want the perfect photos, but the truth is, this is your perfect little family. Everything from the little toes to baby toots to legos getting chucked at you are your perfect, little babies.

Congrats to my friends, Mandy and Tom, on not only their funny, little boy, but also to their perfect, little baby girl.

Brooke & Elliott's Engagement Session

Brooke and Elliott were a couple familiar faces for us. Last year Brooke was a bridesmaid in Ariel and Dan’s wedding, and Elliott was like an honorary bridesmaid. He hung out with the girls while they got ready and exchanged joked with me throughout the morning. Little did I know, that fun, young couple would be one of our next clients. They are so fun, goofy, and just a joy to be around, so when they reached out to us about their wedding day, I was so excited to get them on the calendar.

For their engagement session, we went back to where it all began — UW-Stevens Point. The couple met on campus and had a blast walking around through some of their old stomping grounds. We walked by some of their old classrooms, cruised through the sundial and art building, and finished up by the university center and science building. We had final stop through Schmeekle Reserve. It was a great way to finish a chilly morning for their engagement session and we can’t wait until their upcoming wedding in November.
